ARMZ Uranium Holding Co. Celebrated Great Victory Anniversary
A new Living Truth memorial, dedicated to veterans of the Great Patriotic War, was unveiled on the eve of the Victory Day in the «uranium capital» of Russia, the city of Krasnokamensk, with the support of the city-forming E.P. Slavsky Priargunsky Industrial Mining and Chemical Union, PJSC. This is the only monument in Trans-Baikal Territory erected for the 75th anniversary of the Victory.
The Voice of Victory event was held in the Uksyanskoe village, Dalmatovsky District, Kurgan Region. The Youth Council of Dalur, JSC invited the fellow villagers to go out on the porches of their houses with portraits of relatives who fought the enemy or worked on the home front. The event was held to the songs of the war years, sounded from the loudspeaker of a motor vehicle shuttling the village streets. Workers of RUSBURMASH, JSC (specialized company of ARMZ Uranium Holding Co. for geological exploration and drilling) restored memorials to the people fallen during the Great Patriotic War in several villages of the Kurgan region.
Traditionally, all enterprises congratulated veterans of the Great Patriotic War. Gifts were delivered by volunteers and caring employees observing necessary safety measures. Khiagda, JSC presented household appliances and sweet sets to home front workers from Romanovka village, Bauntovsky-Evenki District of Buryatia. Meetings with veterans, war participants and widows were held in Krasnokamensk in a warm and touching atmosphere. Congratulatory addresses and food packages were presented by members of the Youth Council and the primary trade union organization. Employees of Atomredmetzoloto, JSC joined the congratulations organized by the Veterans Council and the trade union organization of ROSATOM State Atomic Energy Corporation. On the eve of the Victory Day, volunteers of ARMZ Uranium Holding Co. visited war veterans and presented them with flowers and gifts. One of the first who received congratulations was a veteran of the nuclear industry Vladislav Nikolayevich Krivolap, who worked at mining enterprises and in the First Main Directorate of the Ministry of Medium Machine-Building.
Memorial events took place online. The Victory Relay Race of the Mining Division united the enterprise employees from different regions of operation on social networks. Over 150 people turned to the work of Russian poets and recorded videos with verses about the war, passing the baton to colleagues. This year, traditional contests of children’s drawings and family art, dedicated to the memorable date, also took place on the pages of social networks.
Employees of ARMZ Uranium Holding Co. Engineering Center (VNIPIpromtechnologii, JSC) participated in the Immortal Regiment event — people sent photos and stories of their relatives — war veterans and home front workers. The edited video will be broadcasted on social networks and in the office of VNIPIpromtechnologii, JSC throughout the May of Victory. «In the difficult quarantine period, when all mass events are ruled out, it is very important to preserve the memory of the feat of the Soviet people and ensure the continuity of generations. In this regard, we have done everything possible to hold commemorative events in the regions of operation and congratulate our veterans observing safety requirements. This year, the memorial events held in new digital formats became an opportunity to express gratitude to the generation of winners,» said Alexander Burutin, Deputy Director General for Strategy, ARMZ Uranium Holding Co.
