2019 Results: PIMCU to Fulfill 100% of State Order for Uranium Oxide Concentrate
The Governor of the Trans-Baikal Territory Alexander Osipov was informed about this during the working meeting by the First Deputy Director General and Executive Director of ARMZ Uranium Holding Co. Victor Svyatetskiy. «The achievement of production and financial indices is the result of the well-coordinated work of the divisions and the highest responsibility for the result,» he emphasized. PIMCU continues developing non-uranium businesses: the brown coal mining and sale, the mining equipment production, the agricultural equipment and spare part production. With the ARMZ Uranium Holding Co. support, new investors come to Krasnokamensk territory of priority social and economic development. «Integrated work allows us to optimistically look into the future of the uranium capital of Russia,» said Alexander Burutin, Deputy Director General for Strategy, ARMZ Uranium Holding Co.
But the main project that determines the Krasnokamensk prospects is the new uranium Mine No. 6 construction. 19-RESh shaft tipple complex preparatory work began at the construction site. Simultaneously with the tipple construction and installation works, the mine water treatment plant complex construction continues. The main building thermal envelope has been finished and the metal frame installation and underground reinforced concrete tank arrangement has been completed here. Large tanks are installed on the foundations. Currently, work is ongoing inside the buildings. The service platform, HVAC system, pumping station equipment installation and the partition arrangement began.
A site is being set up to organize 20-R shaft dewatering. «All work is on schedule. The mine site will be fully prepared before the start of dewatering. The tunneling equipment previously installed at 19-RESh and 13-K shaft sites will allow depreservation and equipment to begin the underground part construction,» said Victor Svyatetskiy.
Summing up the meeting, Alexander Osipov said: «My first working trip, when I only became the Acting Governor of the Territory, was precisely to Krasnokamensk. For me, the issues of the city and PIMCU development remain among the most important ones. The future of Krasnokamensk is related to Argunskoye and Zherlovoye deposit development and Mine No. 6 construction. All my actions are aimed at ensuring timely financing. We are discussing further necessary actions at the federal and regional government level. I expect that we will bring the Argunskoye and Zherlovoye deposit ore to grass within the scheduled period».
