Representatives of NAC Kazatomprom Visited Khiagda Production Site
The Kazakhstan delegation visited all the uranium production chain facilities, from the local sorption unit at the Istochnoye deposit to the main building where the final product is made.
The colleagues were most interested in Russia’s first innovative smart technology for managing the uranium deposit development. The Smart Mine project, pilot operation of which began last December and has already proved its efficiency, was developed and implemented by experts of ROSATOM State Atomic Energy Corporation Mining Division in cooperation with scientists from Seversk Technological Institute of the NRNU MEPhI. The implementation of the project, which is a part of the unified digital strategy of ROSATOM State Atomic Energy Corporation and is included in the package of the State Corporation digital products, allows to improve the productivity and economic efficiency of production. The software complexes help the enterprise to reliably assess the mining and geological situation at the developed sites of deposits, simulate development options, conduct accurate analysis of performed work, and take prompt decisions in the analysis and forecast of deposit development, geological modeling and planning.
Following the collaborative work, delegation of NAC Kazatomprom noted the high level of production process organization at Khiagda, JSC. «Last September, representatives of our company visited Kazatomprom production sites. For us, it is a good example of international cooperation and mutual exchange of experience,» told Anatoly Mikhailov, First Deputy Director General, Khiagda, JSC.
