JSC Dalur Has Been Granted Certificates ISO 9001:2008 and ISO 14000:2004
JSC Dalur has been granted international certificates of the Quality Management System ISO 9001:2008 and the Environmental Management Systems ISO 14001:2004.
Certification activities were launched three years ago by request of product consumers – JSC Techsnabexport (TENEX) and JSC TVEL. During this period, JSC Dalur was visited by representatives of a number of foreign nuclear utilities operating NPPs in Sweden, Finland, and Germany. Granted certificates (which apply both to production and supply stages) will facilitate the development of an efficient management system at JSC Dalur. They will also improve the global competitiveness of ARMZ Uranium Holding Co. as ROSATOM’s uranium mining division. The ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 compliance certificates are required when entering into supply contracts with many international companies, irrespective of whether these represent direct supplies or part of the supply chains of other companies within the Russian nuclear industry.
The ISO 9000 family of standards involves the quality management systems used by companies and organizations. The ISO 14001 international standard specifies requirements for creating an management system geared towards maintaining efficient control over environmental impact.
Future plans include establishing a company-wide integrated quality management system at ARMZ Uranium Holding Co.
JSC Dalur, operated by ARMZ Uranium Holding Co., is located in the Dalmatovsky District of Kurgan Region. The company produces uranium using in-situ leaching method. In 2011, the company produced 535.2 tons of uranium.
