JSC PIMCU celebrates 45-year anniversary of its Scientific-Research Laboratory
The team of JSC PIMCU celebrated the 45-year anniversary of its Central Scientific-Research Laboratory (CSRL). A gala concert was held on this occasion.
The research team embarked upon their work activity in 1971, housed in a small wooden building. In just two years, a new building was constructed to accomodate the laboratory, where an experimental production unit for uranium ore processing completely simulating the whole process cycle at the future hydrometallurgical plant was mounted. Before commissioning of the plant, parameters of some processes and operations associated with uranium ore processing had been defined more precisely and a more efficient composition of the extraction mixture had been proposed. The main task was to work out recommendations on stabilizing and improving industrial processes involved. These were the first steps of the team of industrious scientists.
Boris Prosekin, Chief Engineer of JSC PIMCU, noted in his congratulatory speech that the team of the Central Scientific-Research Laboratory has always been at the forefront of the production activity of the Industrial Union. Today, it keeps abreast of the times as well by carrying out a great deal of scientific research aimed at reducing the cost of the finished products and by examining and perfecting the newest technologies.
Distinguished guests, including Igor Mudrak, Deputy of the Trans-Baikal Territory Legislative Assembly, Yury Didenko, Mayor of Krasnokamensk, and Nikolay Nekrasov, Chair of the Council of the Populated Settlement, congratulated the heroes of the occasion on this celebration. They presented awards, flowers and gifts to the best workers and veterans of the Central Scientific-Research Laboratory. In particular, Tatyana Panfilovna Zainchkovskaya was awarded a Certificate of Merit from the State Atomic Energy Corporation Rosatom; Tatyana Valentinovna Mantrova was conferred a Certificate of Acknowledgement from the State Atomic Energy Corporation Rosatom; Natalya Vasilyevna Lapich, Svetlana Anatolyevna Rybakova were honored with a Badge of Merit for Labour “Veteran of Energy and Nuclear Industry”, and Natalya Aleksandrovna Polupoltinnykh received a Certificate of Acknowledgement from ARMZ Uranium Holding Co.
As part of the celebration, an amazing performance was presented by a vocal group composed of the CSRL veterans, who sang songs about their small motherland, beloved town. The festive evening inspired the heroes of the event with positive emotions and pleasant memories.
