ROSATOM’s Power is in People

On April 25 the Central Academic Theater of the Russian Army hosted a solemn ceremony of awarding the winners in the industry nominations of 2017 Rosatom Person of the Year competition. The aim of the awards in the industry nominations is to recognize the best workers in the industry and their professional achievements at the highest level.

“This year the awards committee received 155 applications – 25% more than in the previous years,” comments HR director Stanislav Anikeev. - It is a proof of the great acclaim and prestige of the competition. After all, the Atomic Oscar goes to the best of the best - those who make a really significant contribution to the development of the industry.”

The awards were given in three areas - divisional, general corporate and special nominations of the Director General of Rosatom State Corporation.

“I think that my greatest accomplishment was the formation of an effective team focused on the professional performance of work tasks, making informed decisions when assessing all sorts of risks. The power of Rosatom is in people”, - commented Sergey Zavalishin on his victory.

The Atomic Oscar for the third place in the Rising Star nomination went to Alexander Mikhaylovsky for his contribution to the development and implementation of the cost optimization programs that helped to reduce the production cost of uranium by RUB 69 million.

The second place in the One Step Ahead nomination was given to the team led by Oleg Isyanov for the development of the Smart Mine project - the harbinger of digital in-situ leaching projects.
